Rules: Shade some cells in the grid. The numbers must be unshaded, and tell how many cells it sees diagonally (including itself!). All unshaded cells must be connected. All shaded cells must be connected to the outside of the grid.
Before posting the simple loops, I would like to give an introduction to parity, which will be useful for tougher puzzles. If we consider the grid as a checkerboard, any loop segment will alternate between gray and white cells. Here are the simple loop puzzles as promised. Most won't require parity deductions. #227 https://puzz.link/p?simpleloop/9/8/0030h20g3486000 #13 https://puzz.link/p?simpleloop/8/8/240g00200gs00 #63 https://puzz.link/p?simpleloop/13/12/10h0002oc0002000g8c00000g5002100 #120 https://puzz.link/p?simpleloop/21/10/g0g03o80004kggf08000o20203iph0g4a0220109g3 #257 https://puzz.link/p?simpleloop/12/12/1g004g04000000002g000002000h0
Hi everyone! I've been making a logic puzzle a day for the past 8 months. They used to live on a private spreadsheet, and were shared among friends. But due to the support of some amazing people (Pavel at http://www.pavelspuzzles.com/site/ and calica at https://puzzles.covering.space/ ), I've decided to start posting these online! I probably should not post all of the past 250 puzzles I've made all at once. Here are some Numberlinks to get started. #1 https://puzz.link/p?numlin/8/8/j2o1l3j3o5j5l24l1l4 #151 https://puzz.link/p?numlin/9/9/k7l1i4i7g5k14g8g6i3s52m6i3h82r #201 https://puzz.link/p?numlin/8/8/k3k2h4i1g1l2k545j3m6l6n #251 https://puzz.link/p?numlin/7/9/l1l3l1q4u2h3i4l2
After solving and constructing logic puzzles for three years, I finally decided (and had the opportunity) to go to WPC (the puzzle part of the world sudoku+puzzle championship). It has been a wonderful and thrilling four days, and I aim to recap the incredible experience I had in this post. October 18, 2023 I took a taxi from Billy Bishop airport (with a terrific view of Canada's trees in autumn) to the hotel, and I immediately got to marking my nametag: I found many Puzzlers' club members at a large table. It was my first time meeting them all: djmathman (David Altizio) was super excited to see me, and I was just as excited to see him and everybody else (Kevin Sun, Dan Katz, Thomas Luo, Tim Miller, Yuan Yao, Walker , Victor, and more). My roommate IHNN would arrive later. Tim and Dan were both on the USA B team like me, so I made sure to greet them well. People were practicing castle walls, and I heard tluo considering buying a GMPuzzles subscription for more math path pract...
